Implementing Moodle at Fundación Universitaria San Martín (Ibagué campus) was a strategic step toward the digital transformation of higher education: the academic booklets of Accounting, Business Administration and Systems Engineering were fully virtualized.
The process required designing and integrating digital content aligned with the competencies of each area. Accounting received modules on financial regulation, ledgers and practical exercise simulation; Business Administration, business-case analysis, strategic management and decision-making models; and Systems Engineering, virtual labs, code repositories and step-by-step guides for software development and network management.
Alongside the build, a digital-literacy and training plan was carried out. Teachers were trained in techno-pedagogical design, virtual classroom management, multimedia resources and formative follow-up; students joined induction sessions and hands-on workshops that strengthened their autonomous learning.
The outcome was an accessible, flexible institutional learning ecosystem that centralized and democratized access to the academic booklets for all participating programs.
